Go Hawks!

yes!  Seattle Super Bowl Champs, was at home working on papers for hours and hours as I can hear cheers, yells, and eventually fireworks in the neighborhood, how wonderful and contagious I had to turn on the tv. First I had to figure out the remote control, not too hard but the volume, now that was a challenge since I could not mute on command, I watched without the sound, for the most part, now and then, I coexisted writing my paper with the Super Bowl on in the background.  I could not help myself, GO HAWKS!

Wish I could celebrate more, cheers. For those of you who once lived here but now live somewhere else, this was amazing, wish you were here,  Go Hawks!

today is the 5 year anniversary of the death of Anyu, I miss her as if she was still here yesterday.

Little Girl 1998-2011

Today was Little Girl's last day...we put her to sleep at 4pm. It was sad, really sad. She had one more great last week, Marc worked from home 2 days, I hurried home from work everyday to take her out into the garden, out into the sunshine.

As the days went by, her health declined as her kidneys continued to fail her. Eventually she could no longer use her legs very well and she did the drunken sailor walk. We had been force feeding her for a week and she didn't want any more food by Friday, no interest; we gave her fluids under the skin for 3 days.

On Friday morning she snuggled up with Marc as I was making coffee, she would move closer to us as we sat down on the couch. She wanted contact until the very end. What an amazing little being she was, friendly, social...touching, talkative, cute.

All week it was sunny and warm out. Today was grey again, cold and misty...the prefect day to fit the mood. We will miss her so much, xxx I love you Little Girl

End of the sememster is approaching

This has been year 5 in my teaching...we are currently approaching the mid-year mark. My kids are really learning! Wow, they blow my mind everyday. Now it's time to reteach management and the 4 bees: be respectful, be responsible, be kind, be safe. February is slowly approaching and boy do they need a few reminders about life & people skills.

I love my kiddos!

I have the best students...I just read their writing workshop pieces and I am loving their stories, YES.

Also I love my classroom tutor Ms. Lynne. She is so helpful, she is so positive, I am lucky.
